History
The path to the opening of Westchester Fairfield Hebrew Academy has been filled with important steps, large and small. In September 1998 WFHA opened its first day of school with 24 students in kindergarten and first grade. WFHA has added an additional grade each year. With the 2005/06 year, we have reached this goal as we enroll our first graduating class.

Originally housed at Kneses Tifereth Israel (KTI) in Port Chester, NY, WFHA now benefits from the beautiful facilities at Temple Sholom in Greenwich, CT.

Our first head of school, Tova Ben-Dov, piloted the school from its founding until June 2002. Jeanne S. Rice was hired as Interim Director of General Curriculum and Administration for the 2002-2003 school year. In the Spring of 2003, Nora Anderson was hired as our new Head of School and leads our school today.

From its inception, WFHA has been committed to a Jewish school that is governed by both traditional and egalitarian values. It is a school that embraces a child-centered philosophy; a school that is an extended family, based on mutual respect and trust; and finally, a school that uses the latest educational and technological advances to ensure that the students in its charge emerge with the finest Jewish and secular education.

WFHA professional staff includes master teachers, each a treasure in his or her own right. The teachers bring to the classroom warmth, menschlichkeit, a passion for education, charisma, commitment to children and skills of their craft. Under the talented and passionate leadership of Nora Anderson, the staff enable us to achieve the school's primary mandate: to create and foster excellence.
