Each year, our WFHA community gathers for a festive evening to celebrate the accomplishments of our school. I am happy to report that planning is well underway for this year's Erev Tov dinner dance to be held on Sunday, June 13th.
The theme of this year's event is "Celebrating Leadership." Our honorees are Beth and Brad Boyer, Sari Dweck and Larry Ginsburg; and Rhonda Schaffer-Maron and Jeff Maron. Each of our honorees have contributed much support to WFHA, and as a group, they truly reflect our school's diversity and volunteer leadership.
The proceeds from Erev Tov enable WFHA to provide scholarship aid to many families. We count on our fundraising efforts to ensure the continuity of what makes our school unique - small classes, remarkable resources and enrichment opportunities to meet the needs of each individual child, advanced technology and an incredible campus to name a few.
This year, I recognize that the economic environment surrounding Erev Tov is distinctly more challenging than in past years. However, this year our efforts are more important than ever before. With this in mind, I appreciate your participation in enabling us to reach our goal.
Please be assured that Erev Tov has always been planned with a keen eye to the bottom line, to enable as many of the funds raised to go directly to our school. This year, to economize further, we plan to cut costs from our Journal production. Journal donors will, as always, be invited to submit traditional ads, but we will offer the choice of a simple category listing for those who prefer it, thus saving paper and printing costs.
